In view of overwhelming response from the Regional Officers, Principals and staff of Navodaya Vidyalayas located across the country, the Perspective Academic Planning for the year 2013-14 has been further strengthened by incorporating into it the brass tacks of Vidyalaya Functioning. The process of planning does not end with the implementation of plans. Plans are formulated for future which is uncertain. It is of great importance that there is a constant review of plans so as to ensure success in the uncertain future. In this way we can say planning is continuously moving process.
I would like to emphasize at this juncture that formula of the 3 Ps, Prayer, Planning and Practice has been a foolproof and fail-proof technique. Planning focuses on achieving the objectives: achievement begins with planning and planning begins with the determining of objectives. In the absence of objectives no organization can ever be thought about. Planning reduces risk of Uncertainty: planning is always done for future and future is uncertain. With the help of planning possible changes in future are anticipated and various activities are planned in the best possible way.
It is not just important to plan but also to put the plans into practice. The Academic Wing of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has been providing the PAP as an efficient planning tool which Aids the smooth transition of the plans into practice while at the same time not losing focus on the objectives and targets. As every yea r, I am sure that this book will be utilized in a most effective manner and will help us realize our objectives which will ensure that Jawahar Navodaya vidyalayas remain where they rightly belong: at the top of the secondary school education structure. I once again wish all the staff of Navodaya vidyalayas the best for the upcoming academic year.
Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to
excellence, intelligent planning and focused efforts.
